Jack’s Story
This case study was developed based on a real case study written by a student in NURS6620. Nurse Practitioner students are required to present a de-identified case study as part of their assessment for this course and the course coordinator was concerned that students were not following the Clinical Reasoning Cycle and were omitting the later stages in the cycle from their assessments, particularly the reflection on their own practice. It was found that by providing example case studies, the student versions in subsequent offerings were improved.
